Cocoons of the largest moth in the world, the Atlas Moth – Attacus atlas. A mixture of males and females will be sent.
Larval Foodplants: Privet – larvae must be reared in warm humid conditions.
Cocoons should be kept at 25 – 30C and sprayed at least once per day to keep humidity high ideally at 80%.
Patience is required to hatch these moths. These cocoons have been in dispause and it is difficult to predict exactly when the cocoons will emerge but it is usually around 4 – 8 weeks in ideal conditions.
Please contact if you require any additional information. We would suggest researching on-line before purchasing these if you have not kept silkmoths before.
Please note replacements will be supplied if livestock is received ‘dead or damaged on arrival’ as long as an email is sent on the same day as the livestock is recieved. We cannot offer replacements for items that perish after this time as we have no control over the conditions in which they are being kept.
